Job Description
To process numerous daily transactions for commercial and personal banking customers and to securely handle cash responsibilities and customer information.
  • Open and close the main vault under dual control
  • Answer incoming calls using bank approved proper phone etiquette
  • Maintain all cash drawers, vaults and customer information securely
  • Balance ATM daily under dual control and replenish cash to comply with sufficient cash levels
  • Have knowledge of and alert to CTR and Monetary Instrument reports
  • Complete bank mandated ongoing compliance training
  • Maintain safe and balanced levels of vault currency supply
  • Place currency orders and remit excess currency with the Federal Reserve
  • Order U.S. postal stamps and complete corresponding entries
  • Complete cash trades with tellers
  • Maintain secure and balanced currency ledgers
  • Maintain cash supply to serve commercial business needs
  • Maintain increased and controlled levels of cash for holidays and hurricane season
  • Assist with night drop collection and verify transactions under dual control
  • Able to research and clear teller overages and shortages
  • Perform personal and commercial transactions to include but not limited to:
    • Cashing checks 
    • Accept deposits
    • Process loan payments (consumer, commercial & mortgage)
    • Handle Cash Withdrawals
    • Cash US savings bonds
    • Process cash advances
    • Sell money orders and cashier’s checks
    • Process safe deposit box payments
    • Sell US postal stamps
    • Open Christmas Club accounts and process payments
    • Sell MasterCard gift cards
    • Verify strapped currency and bulk coin
    • Handle cash exchange request
    • Assist customers with account inquiries
    • Assist customers with safe deposit box entry and closings
  • Collect and Scan branch transactions
  • Cross train with and back up basic desk-based transactions
  • Proper handling of assigned check authority limit
  • Remain attentive to and provide solutions for customer product/service needs
  • Knowledge of products and services
  • Ability to have relationship sales conversations with existing and potential customers (cross sell)
  • Team oriented to participate in the success of branch growth goals
High School Diploma. Cash handling experience
  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Strong Math Aptitude
