Governor Dardenne also served four years as Secretary of State and fifteen years as a State Senator. During his legislative service\, he chaired the Senate Finance Committee. In 2003\, he was named National Republican Legislator of the Year.\n\n\n\nYou will enjoy his presentation entitled "Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi\," a lively and colorful look at Louisiana's culture\, history\, music and politics.  Chef Jeff Hansell with Ox lot 9 will prepare tomato gazpacho\, seared pork tenderloin with bourbon sweet potatoes\, green beans\, pecans and crispy shallots\, and milk chocolate Pot de Creme.
