Congress passed some new laws that took effect immediately and others that have a staggered implementation date.  The ‘lame duck’ Congress didn’t just sit around and watch the clock tick\, either\; they made their mark on extended unemployment benefits and changes to payroll taxes.   With all of the confusing new regulations\, this is a time when a business owner really needs a score card to know what to do and when and attending the January Small Business seminar is the place to start.
