DESCRIPTION:If your answer is 'no' or 'not well enough'\, the Chamber's Small Business Advisory Council has a workshop just for you.  Dr. Jeanne Hurlbert\, PhD\, with LSU and Optinet Resources\, LLC\, will be presenting a workshop on Strategic Social Networking on Saturday\, May 10\, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Merrill Lynch office located at 2681 N. Causeway Blvd\, Mandeville.  Participants will:  learn why the current conception of networking is too narrow\; see an alternative model that is consistent with the needs of business owners today\; and learn how to build the social network that can advance your business\, help to cope with stress\, etc.Hurlbert is a network coach who heads optinetresources.com\, a group that helps entrepreneurs build the social networks that help them succeed in both their professional and personal lives.  She is also Professor of Sociology at LSU.   Dr. Hurlbert has been featured and quoted in such media as The Wall Street Journal\, The New York Times\, USA Today\, and Forbes.com.Thanks to the sponsorship of Gulf Coast Bank\, there is no charge to participate in this workshop.
