Nestled on a 117-acre wooded and beautifully landscaped campus in Covington, Louisiana, Christwood is located north of New Orleans, across Lake Pontchartrain. It is a not-for-profit 'Life Plan Community,' also known as a continuing care retirement community, offering independent and assisted living, as well as cognitive memory, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. Christwood offers concierge living, resort-style amenities, convenient services and easy access to healthcare with a full continuum of care to more than 250 residents. At Your Service by Christwood is a new “in home” division of Christwood that offers wellness care, and community-based social services to non Christwood residents. The Community Center at Christwood, a unique multi-purpose fitness center, serves both Christwood residents and many other members of the Northshore 55+ community.
Over the past year, in addition to its many other achievements and improvement, Christwood was named a winner in the category of Best Retirement Community by readers of the New Orleans business publication City Business.
