About Us

In 2016, Chris Cancienne founded Cypress Physical Therapy in LaPlace, LA with the sole desire to bring personal, dedicated treatment to the River Parishes with a focus on sports rehab. From the design of the clinic to the colors of the Cypress logo, our patients can feel the energy embodied in our name, always green and full of life. The goal of every member of the Cypress team is to help our patients on their road to recovery perform better and live better.

In 2017, Cancienne and Cypress’ Managing Partner Buddy Boe, decided to expand Cypress past the town of LaPlace and began partnering with local therapists. Our local partners are what makes Cypress different. As other clinics sell to larger and larger mega-healthcare companies, Cypress remains a local clinic, in practice and reality. Our partners are local. Our staff is local. Our treatment is personal.
