About Us

Equine Reflections Therapeutic Center (ER) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving mental wellness and strengthening our community through the healing power of horses.
At Equine Reflections, healing begins in the presence of a horse. Guided by licensed mental health professionals, certified facilitators, and trained volunteers, our rescued horses help individuals build resilience, rediscover hope, develop confidence, and find connection through trust, acceptance, and meaningful horse-human experiences.
ER provides Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL), life-coaching programs, youth leadership and character-development programs, professional team building, veterans programs, cancer-survivor retreats, anti-bullying programs, and other community outreach initiatives. Our programs serve children, teens, adults, families, veterans, schools, businesses, and community organizations.
All of our programs are ground-based—there is no riding, and participants need no previous horse experience. Our herd of rescued horses is at the heart of our mission. Many have experienced neglect, abuse, abandonment, or significant life changes themselves, making their stories of trust, resilience, and second chances especially meaningful to the people we serve.
Our philosophy is simple: Rescued Horses Rescuing People. Through the unique connection between horses and humans, Equine Reflections creates a welcoming environment where people can learn, grow, connect, and discover that both horses and people deserve hope and a second chance.
