Our Lady of the Lake School has been recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, the highest national honor a school can receive. This is the third time since 2004 that OLL has received this award, making it the only elementary school in the state of Louisiana to be a three-time winner. It also solidifies OLL’s place among the top 1% of all schools in the nation. Mr. Smith said, ''We have a steadfast commitment to excellence at OLL. During the latest AdvancED Engagement Review, OLL received an unprecedented IEQ Score of 388.66/400. The IEQ, or Index of Education Quality, provides a holistic measure of an institution’s overall performance based on a comprehensive set of indicators and evaluative criteria. The Engagement Review Team, a group of distinguished educators from around the state of Louisiana, also awarded OLL an exceptional 27/30 Exceeds Expectations ratings on the Performance Standards. In addition, OLL is the only Cognia STEM-certified elementary school in the state.
