About Us

What We Sow Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing youth-centered events, programs, outreach, and financial assistance that helps children from all walks of life reach their full potential in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.

We host free youth life skills workshops that teach practical skills such as financial literacy, leadership, confidence, health and fitness, mindfulness, meal preparation, communication, and more. Our goal is to give young people the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to navigate everyday life and build a strong foundation for their future.

We also host free community events, including our Kidz Block Parties, which connect children and families with local resources, community organizations, health and wellness information, educational opportunities, and positive activities. These events create a safe and welcoming environment where youth can have fun, build connections, discover community resources, and find opportunities to give back to others.

Through our Mason Gaines Legacy Award, we provide financial assistance to help children with support needs access adaptive equipment, technology, supplies, services, and other resources that may improve their independence and quality of life.

Additionally, What We Sow Foundation raises funds to provide assistance to children and families throughout St. Tammany Parish who are facing unforeseen circumstances, including medical emergencies, loss, and other significant hardships.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to opportunities, resources, support, and a community that believes in their potential. We strive to create meaningful opportunities for children and families while encouraging young people to serve, lead, and give back to the communities they call home.
