MIRACLE LEAGUE NORTHSHORE TO HOST 6TH ANNUAL

MAKING A MIRACLE GOLF SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT

Abita Springs, LAThe Sixth Annual Making a Miracle Golf Scramble presented by Louisiana Medical Management Corporation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2021, at Money Hill Golf and Country Club to benefit Miracle League Northshore.

“We are excited to have our golf tournament back at the beautiful golf courses of Money Hill,” says Lira Casborné, Manager of Miracle League Northshore. “For many of our athletes with special needs, they’ve longed for the opportunity to play sports, but have been prevented from doing so by their limitations. At Miracle League, we believe every child deserves the chance to play. Participants of our golf tournament will directly support our mission to make the accommodations needed to provide barrier-free games that every child can enjoy.”

Participants will enjoy a great day out on the green, lunch, and commemorative golf items for a great cause. All proceeds will directly benefit Miracle League Northshore Complex operations and sports programs. Team and sponsorship registrations are open now. To sign up today, visit miracleleaguenorthshore.org. For volunteer opportunities, please contact Lira Casborne at lira.casborne@lcmchealth.org or 504-301-7614.

About Miracle League Northshore:

Miracle League Northshore was founded in 2014 to bring the Miracle League to serve St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington Parishes. The mission of the Miracle League Northshore is to promote the health and well-being of children with disabilities, provide opportunities for able-bodied children to learn about and interact with children with disabilities, and develop community awareness and support for the child athlete with disabilities through organized sports leagues. The Miracle League is designed to serve kids who cannot be accommodated by established baseball, basketball, and soccer leagues due to their unique abilities.

Each program year is divided into two, eight-week baseball seasons that run in the Fall and Spring. The soccer season takes place in the Winter, while basketball is played in the Summer. Miracle League Northshore aims to hold all games on Saturdays.
