Gulf States Real Estate Development and Construction announces the opening of the final phase of Copperstill Marketplace. The first Phase of the Center was initially constructed and opened in October of 2019. Our tenants have enjoyed much success including continued growing sales reported from our anchor tenant, Rouses Markets. The owners of Copperstill are excited to add two new tenants to the shopping center mix, including Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, a national ice cream and dessert chain, as well as Lit Pizza. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will host its grand opening celebration on Friday, May 14th at 11:45 am. “We absolutely loved the Jeremiah’s brand in Orlando and thrilled to bring the concept to Louisiana,” said Lisa Rapson. “We’re excited to introduce the same quality product that Jeremiah’s is known for to our Covington residents, and are hoping to build a similar legion of die-hard fans as the brand has in its home state of Florida. It’s very special to us to bring a concept we love into a family-operated business.” With a passion for hospitality and making people feel at home, Lisa Rapson’s dream of running a family- owned business recently became a reality. Lisa Rapson, her daughter Lindsey and son-in-law Nick, will operate the new Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Covington location. Lisa is also seeking local entrepreneurs interested in opening up their own Jeremiah’s Italian Ice franchise. More information can be obtained at www.jeremiahsfranchise.com.
The St. Tammany Chamber will conduct the event with a formal ribbon cutting with the Parish President, Mike Cooper.
Lit Pizza will also be opening in early May. Both tenants bring highly needed goods and services to this fast-growing area of West St Tammany. The project was planned, developed, leased, and constructed by the various divisions of Gulf States Development, Real Estate, and Construction. Gulf States will add this last building to their Property Management Division at St. Tammany’s newest retail project. Now that Copperstill is 100% complete, Mike Saucier stated that Gulf States has turned its attention to other undeveloped properties in the area. “We continue to work to attract quality businesses and retail and restaurant services to the marketplace.”
