Connie Ernst: (985) 273-3006Live Better Coffee & Learn: Employee Burnout & Resilience
Join the St. Tammany Chamber’s Live Better St. Tammany Committee for a Live Better Coffee & Learn on “Employee Burnout & Resilience.” Speakers are Dr. Matthew Bernard with Covington Trace ER & Hospital and Elizabeth Garland with United Way of Southeast Louisiana.
Employees frequently mention feeling "burned out," but is that an accurate assessment?
Real burnout goes beyond just needing a short break from work or feeling momentarily drained by a demanding project. It represents a persistent state of job-related stress that leads to deep exhaustion, frustration, and a sense of hopelessness, ultimately impacting both personal and professional aspects of an employee’s life.
Dr. Matthew Bernard is a board certified emergency physician and Chief Medical Officer of Covington Trace ER & Hospital. He will discuss how to recognize true employee burnout and what business owners and managers can do to help prevent employee burnout in their organizations.
Elizabeth Garland is United Way of Southeast Louisiana’s Resource Navigator, serving St. Tammany, Washington and Tangipahoa parishes. She will talk about resilience in the workplace, which is the ability to maintain productivity and performance in the face of challenges, set-backs and disappointments. Liz will offer some ways to build resilience in your organization.
Covington Trace ER & Hospital is hosting the program at its location at 4107 Highway 59 in Mandeville. Networking and a light breakfast are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. with the program from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
There is no cost to attend, and seating is limited.
