Join the St.Tammany West Chamber of Commerce for the State of Higher Education Breakfast, presented by our Governmental Affairs Committee, featuring Dr. John Crain and Dr. William Wainwright. They will discuss the impact of and their reactions to recent education reforms.   
 
Dr. John L. Crain was named the 14th President of Southeastern Louisiana University on February 17, 2009 by the Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System.  His prior experience at Southeastern includes head of the Department of Accounting, chair of the Council of Department Heads, president of the Faculty Senate, director of the Small Business Development Center, and 13 years as a full-time member of the accounting faculty.
 

Dr. William Wainwright was appointed Chancellor of Northshore Technical Community College on August 10, 2011. Dr. Wainwright began his career at the Sullivan Campus in 1998 as the Pinelands Partnership School-to-Work and Tech Prep Regional Coordinator. He later served as Dean of the Hammond Area Campus and then District Dean of Workforce Development for the Louisiana Technical College Greater Capital Area District and recently served as Regional Director of Northshore Technical College. Dr. Wainwright is currently on the Board of Directors for the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce.
