Join us for a Congressional Update Luncheon with U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. Hear directly from him as he shares updates from Washington, D.C., and discusses the federal issues shaping Louisiana’s business climate, workforce, healthcare system and overall economy.

A Baton Rouge native, Senator Cassidy earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University. For nearly three decades, he cared for uninsured and underinsured patients in Louisiana’s charity hospital system. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he led a team of healthcare volunteers to transform an abandoned K-Mart into an emergency medical facility, providing critical care to evacuees.

His public service began in the Louisiana State Senate in 2006, followed by his election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008. Since being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2014, Senator Cassidy has played an active role in shaping national policy and currently serves on several key committees, including Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP); Energy and Natural Resources; Appropriations; Veterans’ Affairs and the Joint Economic Committee.
