Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Karam is a Senior Instructor at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, where he teaches courses in marketing, personal branding, and sports business to both undergraduate and MBA students. Known for his engaging, real-world approach to education, he has worked closely with high-profile athletes including Shaquille O’Neal and Joe Burrow to help them develop confidence and media presence. Dr. Karam was honored with the 2023 Nell Mitchell Doughty Lifetime Achievement Award for his lasting impact on students, athletes, and the business community. His expertise in personal branding and communication has made him one of LSU’s most beloved and influential educators.
