Covington, La. –Tandem Clinical Research has formed another Memory Matters Alzheimer’s Disease Support Group to be held at Christwood Community Center, 100 Christwood Blvd, Covington. The support group will be hosted by Barbara Clinton, Certified Alzheimer’s Educator, CAEd (NCBAC – National Certification Board for Alzheimer’s Care) with Tandem Clinical Research, and seeks to provide a place of education, empathy, and shared experiences for caregivers, loved ones, and those interested with the challenges of Alzheimer's/Dementia disease.
“Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide, impacting not only those diagnosed but also their families and caregivers,” explained Kristen Clinton, a nurse practitioner at Tandem and part of the support group team. “Recognizing the need for a localized support system, the Memory Matters support group was created to offer a safe space for individuals to share their stories, exchange practical advice, and find emotional support.
