Northshore Endocrinology and Diabetes is a direct care endocrinology practice in Covington, LA that offers patients personalized treatment for diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormones, and more. The founder, Dr. Michelle Haggar M.D. is double board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as well as Internal Medicine. She is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and Mississippi. Visits are conducted in person or via a hippa compliant tele-platform, per patient preference. Dr. Haggar choose the direct care model, meaning insurance is not accepted, in order to prioritize patients over administrative tasks. Patients are able to receive timely appointments, have ample face to face time during visits, and engage in collaborative medical decision making.
